OK, Made a donk $20 parlay this morning-

PARLAY (4 TEAMS)Risking: 20 To Win: 8505
ON:11/12/2006@09:05 AM [411] HOUSTON TEXANS +400 - NFL WIN
ON:11/12/2006@09:05 AM [429] NY JETS +450 - NFL WIN
ON:11/12/2006@09:05 AM [431] SAN FRANCISCO +210 - WIN
ON:11/13/2006@05:30 PM [439] TAMPA BAY +400 - NFL

Thinking about hedging here.

TAMPA vs CAROLINA Monday night at around 8 EST

Right now at the book I use CAROLINA is -500

So I'm thinking bet $5000 on CAROLINA;

If CAROLINA wins I net $980, If TAMPA wins I net $3485

Or should I let it ride?- If CAROLINA wins, I net -$20, If TAMPA wins I net $8485

What would you guys do if this was you?

How big of a deal is $1k to you?

Personally I hedge because a) a bird in hand... and B) Carolina is likely gonna beat TB.

In fact if I had the BR and were you I'd hedge more that that and try to take all the gamble out of it. You could net, what, 2250 off a $20 bet guaranteed? A bird in hand...

I fully hedged the free 1k Mansion bet a while ago and don't regret it at all.

Right now you have a 50% chance of winning $8485 (and 50% of (-20))

Why trade that in for a 50% chance at $980 and a 50% chance at $3485.

Given the math, I let it ride !!!

Give it the old "flip a coin" test, what would you do if it all rode on a coin flip
My guess is you would let it ride.

NFL is pretty much a coin flip A-T-S anyways
