Hi,
when i use FTP points in their store, lets say 13000 for a shirt worth $65, my rakeback will be $17.55 lower, right?

And what if i win more money in a freeroll or ironman tourney than i generated rake that month, will the deduction be carried over to the next month?

thanks for any help. :)

Right, they deduct for points usage, I believe at the rate of $0.005 per point. This counts against your MGR, so your expense is 27% of that.

If you end the month with a negative rake number, it won't be carried over to the next month, RBN swallows that loss. At some point in the near future we'll be putting a cap on that, so losses over, say $500 will be rolled over.

Hi,
will winnings from the ironman freeroll reduce my rakeback?

Hello,

Thanks for your email.

Any winnings you can make will not reduce your rakeback.

 i thought ANY freeroll winnings will reduce rakeback.

can you verify this rob?

I beleive the winnings are not what affect rakeback, it's the cost to play the event (if it is a freeroll or point tournament then the amount that would normally be your rake is instead a negative applied) Also I believe that the prize for the event is split up among all players as a negative.

been awhile since i've done any ironman stuff, but I'm pretty sure i remember my winnings did affect my rakeback.

I'm pretty certain this is correct.

I was completely unaware of this. Let me see if I understand correctly.

If I were to use 50,000 FTP points they would reduce my total rake by 50k * .005= $250 And that would effectively reduce my rakeback by 250*.27= 67.5???

That sucks. What about bonuses? If I buy a Iron Man 100 dollar bonus, does that money get taken away from my rake as well? I was hoping those things would add to my bottom line, not make them irrelevant =S. Thanks in advance.

Iron Man bonuses as far as I have seen do not effect your MGR. I wouldn't be too surprised if this changed though.

The bottom line though is that getting bonuses and redeeming points is still +EV since you're only giving up 27% of the value.

So Rob, this talks about the effect of using FTP points on "monthly" rakeback. What happens now that rakeback is paid weekly? Is it just deducted from that week's rakeback? or is it carried over indefinitely until paid off?

Thanks in advance.

what muskel said, it's carried over now that pay is weekly.
