I know I had a chance to stake Greg Raymor the year he won the wsop and I didnt:mad:.

Most of my friends who have staked a day to day grinder, it did not work out well. I'm sure there are many exceptions.

I have staked about 10 people for an experiment. One of them made me about 20 bucks and the rest put together lost me about 1k. Thats pretty normal from what I hear.

I help stake a friend of mine so he can play higher limits and so he doesnt have to mortage his roll. But he is a phenomenal player and in my 26 years of playing he is the best player that ive sat at a table with and on par with the few pros that i have played with (Ferguson, magician).....If they are of that caliber go right ahead if not run for the hills.

I can't figure out why a good player would ask for stacking.
I have on most sites an tourney ROI from 20 - 50%.
I wouldn't like sharing my money.

So my thought is that when you stack, you will be always a Loser, because only suckers ask getting stacked. (yes, sure there will be a few good players that went broke on a bad streak and they could make a stacker some profits, but on the other site a good player will always have Bankrollmangement.)

This is a pretty common point of view and it can be true. But there are a number of reasons why winning players would be willing to work for a staker. They may be playing for a living and be unwilling to be exposed to swings. They may not have a proper bankroll for the limits that they play. Others prefer to be staked because it keeps them from making foolish plays.

I personally had a very good experience staking a player. He was young and upcoming and it was clear he was talented. But at the time he was only 18 and couldn't afford to play in the soft 10/20 games available to him. After some time he was cashing for deep 5 figures in various online/live events and I walked away ahead ~$75k before he had the bankroll necessary to go it alone. It was a clear win/win.

While not everyone is going to score like that, there are some very solid players at PTP.

the person i was goin to stake did decent in mtts, and i had another i was gonna stake in propping 90 percent. one kid was a shot in the dark. other friend didnt have helath insurace, and neeed surgery, took his whole 4500 BR.

although i would never ever be staked by anyone except wsop events there are reasons to be staked for MTTs. some people cant handle the variance of them. i know i hate the idea of beating a ton of people to make the mtt worth it. i am a winning player big time, but would be staked in a second

stop calling it stacked lol, it staked
