I don't know, but I'm guessing he has a great future as a pilot... :|

he had 2 live cards and they were suited. it is still pretty much 60/40. maybe he just likes to gamble.. i noticed you were short stacked. how was your play leading up to this hand?

you guys kill me with that 60/40. Like the player with 23 suited actually knows he is 60/40 when he calls. I have seen more poor excuses for goofball to make a bad call in this forum then the excuses Bush made to invade Iraq.

I think the point is he called a raise of 13x the blind when it is impossible for him to be better than a 60-40 dog and he is likely in much worse shape.

OP,

You got your money in good. As a 61/39 against that specific hand, what more do you want? If you replayed the preflop action a thousand times a day for a year you might be able to retire or darn close to it. Not sure why you're bummed about a result that HAS TO HAPPEN 39 times out of 100.

Oh, and you also need to learn proper shortstack strategy because you got very lucky (yes, I said lucky) to have been called here in this spot.

One more thing, if this hand broke your roll, you might also consider reading up on proper bankroll management, just my thought anyway.

Onaflag.........

ps....villain was actually a 64/36 dog against a random hand so kudos to whoever said 60/40 off the top of their head. I had to cheat and use pstove.

How in gods name can anyone be almost broke on P4E.......Obviously there is some work needed on your game.

I was looking to grab all the limps that were in there, not expecting a call.

*shrug*
I've got about 8000 more hands like this and worse for me in my history..

Two weeks ago I ran $13 to $900 in a bit over a day, now I'm down to $4 (after withdrawing more than half of that). I think I've got that 'variance' thing cornered ;)

Thats nothing, I think I am down about 30 buyins at POKERWORLD over the last couple of months.

I just gave up for the second time last week.

I just got rocked by another 2-3 suited today .. :| Flopped top two, push all in, he calls me with a 3-high flush draw, nothing else, and hits.

Meh.

Yeah it gets old playing every day against the same select few of players that feel the need to overplay every weak hand, get your money in bad...thats the motto....dont ever fold a garbage hand to a raise in the big blind....take this idiot for example....

Now I know im gonna hear "what do you expect from 2/4 limit?" maybe a little sense...or at least the judgement of a retarded chimp.... I wouldnt complain if this kind of thing didnt happen 20 hands in hour.... This kind of play has driven away more business from Bugsysclub then I could imagine....some people would rather play the play money tables at Absolute Poker....the play makes more sense......

When he called the turn when the board was four flushed means he was calling the river you shoulda checked and took the free showdown and you woulda saved a bet.

I get sucked out on at Bugsy more than anywhere else. I also have a higher win rate there than anywhere else.

You are right, he would have called down with 10 high...no club...I have to adjust and remember I am not playing good players with any kind of thought process...and by the way, if I check...he bets automatic.

bankrollmanagement is the key ericblade.

The rest is just variance
