In 35 years of playing I think I have only beat quads or had my quads lose maybe 5 or 6 times.

I know this feeling. I just couldnt handle these happennings over and over when the odds say they shouldnt be happenning at such a high frequency, so. I quit.
Ive had the urge to replay poker again but, i withdrew all my money on all sites.
Trying to deposit money now is such a pain in the ass. They want proof of this, i have to fax them this and that, and that just so i can use my credit card to deposit money onto pic club. Then my credit card is going to be billed %10, fuck that, ill stay quit for a bit longer. At least that %10 fee pisses me off enough to not try poker and have to deal with those 2 outers again for a while lol

Was it the guy who was 1st in chips...or 2nd? If not...You should still be in right?

i have found that my card works straight up at absolute, and full tilt, granted they are only rakeback sites, but probably better for you if you are going to play limited anyway

Can you fold a flopped boat?
I bet pot, opp called.
Can you fold quad sixes on the turn?
Opp didn't raise preflop, so the likelyhood that he has KK .....

There is no way that I ever fold quad 6's
Fear kills.

Rykey: He said he was 4th, opponent was 3rd.
On the other hand, you can't really blame him for calling with top boat either.

Sorry. Selective reading I suppose. When I read it I thought he said he was 3rd in chips..Not the other way around.
Folding quad 6's? I have a hard time folding runner runner flush draws.

how many times have u lost with quads? the one thing people need to understand is the reason why beats happen more online is becuase hands are so much quicker than love + mtuli tabling. so if u play 10 rooms at once, and get in prolly 5 hands per table in the same amount of time for 1 live hand, that means ur seein 50 hands per 1 hand live. so ur obv ognna see more beats cause ur seein so many more hands
however i do like that u quit cainer, reading ur posts, i felt u were very swingy, and poker jus seemed emotionally drainin on u, which is never good. i think u made the right decision bud, and gl

I didnt quit completely due to someone on this forum stating that using a credit card normally works on Full Tilt. Sure enough, its true.
I think this is the first poker site that actually didnt deny my credit card. I only deposited $200. I only played for 30 minutes today and lost $8 lol
I am just bored of this game so much unless i am winning. This game is so so friggen boring unless your winning. I cant stand the game when cards are running bad, but i do still try,.

No offense, but I have a friend who "always runs bad", who crys about getting sucked out on more than is 'normal', the site is rigged, he is the worlds biggest victim etc, etc. After looking at his game, he just has serious holes in his game, over playing hands, missing value bets, bad reads etc. The big hands simply play themselves and we all have KK that runs into AA pre flop, we all ship our money in and thats fine, but it's all the imbetween hands where we laydown the second best hand or get that tiny bit of extra value out of second pair.
I have only been playing seriously this year and I'm yet to have a losing month, but I work on my game after every session, studying all the big pots won and lost. Then I read about poker, watch videos of others playing poker and I'm generally just obsessed in a sick way.
So maybe you need to stop blaming the cards and crying bad beat, be honest with yourself, look at your game and see where it can be improved, I'm sure everyones game has leaks somewhere, especially mine, mine just happens to be good enough to crush fish at NL100, still doesn't make me Durrrrrrr.
Anyway, good luck!

Get back to me in 30 years lol. That's the whole difference, you are at the stage where it's still exciting, it's fun, you like doing it.
For me it's just become a boring grind. I went on vacation for 2 weeks and now I've been doing home repairs for another 3. My hope is when I get back to playing full time my interest level will have returned.

It will return barton, until u absorb more then your fair share of bad beats and the frstration level hightens again and the boredom returns. At least for me thats how it went.

The beats don't even bother me. Every time I sit in a game I get an irresistible urge to quit lol. Maybe I should do what Villa said, I still enjoy tourneys and sit and go's

In 35 years of playing I think I have only beat quads or had my quads lose maybe 5 or 6 times.
I folded quads once. Me holding 55 in a slightly raised pot. t55 on the flop, im in first position and i throw out a small bet just hoping that he has overpair or maybe a ten. turn another ten comes, i check hoping that he is going to bluff at it or maybe holding the ten, he bets half pot and i call. river the third ten comes. My roll was small for the stakes i played (2/4NL on Prima). I check to him and after a while he goes allin with 600, i had him covered and had so far invested around 60 in the pot. I knew the player a little bit and asked him if he would show if I folded. He sad yes and showed me the last ten. He didnt believe my 55 fold until i emailed him a printscreen.

I've lost with flopped boats more times than I can count... Quads.. only once. I flopped quad 3 and he hit set of 4's and hit his quad on the river. Funny, I remember this hand more than any of the 5 or 6 one outer Royals I've hit.
Edit: hmm... just realised how old this thread is... thought I'd seen it before :)

Here is one from 2-3 yrs ago on FTP.
Cash game.
Me JJ
Her 77
Flop J 8 2
All in Flop. Turn 7. River 7. (seriously)
Phil Yu was watching me play. If you know him ask him if you don't believe me.
But i have caught and lost to quite a few one outers in PLO. And also a few one strait flush outs in Holdem.
2% happens and 0.2% happens sometimes too.

so, i'm playing a live 1/2 cash game at a charity room, and i've got KJo. Flop is JJT 2 hearts. I bet around 2/3 the pot, second guy min-raises, third guy calls. I come over the top all-in, for about $200, second guy has about $75 back, third guy has about $160 back. Second guy sits and tanks for several minutes, then calls. Third guy insta calls. We turn 'em over, second guy has J4o, third guy has K9 hearts. Turn is the Ten of clubs, so now i'm tied with the other guy with a house, and the third guy has been reduced to exactly one out - the Qh. Of course, that's the river.
