I dont know why i expeience such bad beats on Cake poker all the time, but, i had to share what had just happened to me.
Im playing 3 tables.. 2 ring games and 1 heads up tourney. This all happened in a span of 3 minutes. Situations like this are a common occurance for me playing on the Cake poker network. Or so it seems.
In the tourney, we started with 1500 chips each. We were still at the 15-30 blinds when i won a pot for 2980 chips, leaving my apponenet with only 20 chips. (not even enough to cover the big blind) The game is Omaha high low.
He went on to win the next 16 hands in consession and win the heads up tourney. (not even a split pot, he scooped all 16 hands)
Now i am pissed and as soon as that tourney ended, i was dealt king jack on my ring game table. A guy limps with aces and the flop is ace queen ten. I check raise him on the flop and he goes all in. The turn is a jack and river pairs the board with queens. Fuck off. (It hurst most times to lose like this(when all the chips are in) but , it hurts even more when i was still steaming mad over that tourney that just ended).
As i am getting rivered on this hand, i am dealt ace king on the other table. I do a 3 times the bb raise and pocket tens call me. The flop is ace king 3. I bet pot and he min raises me all in. Boom, fucking ten on the turn:(
%25 of my bankroll is lost in just 3 minutes.
I packed my fist and almost threw it at the monitor. Luckily i realized at the last minute that it wasnt wise to do that but the anger was real. I needed to do something. I picked up the phone and got ready to whip it against the wall but, luckily again at the last moment i stopped myself.
I jumped out of my chair and went aimlessly about the condo cursing and trying to see what i could do to release this anger. I really wanted to put my fist through the wall but again , luckily I stopped myself from doing that.
I really am sick of being a break even player, and i just cant deal with these constant suck outs by my apponents. Maybe its time to find a new hobby.

Im sorry to hear that these bad beats constantly happen... How come 25% of your bankroll was lost in 3 hands? Are you playing underrolled?
I used to hate when these types of beats would occur where they had no reason to even be in the hand, or I flop a st8 vs top set and they fill up by the river (but you cant blame that hand, odds of you flopping a st8 are so low its more likely you have 2 pair vs his set or a draw)
But these hands will not make you a breakeven player, there is probably other leaks in your game. I'd be happy to do some PT review. Sometimes another set of eyes is good.

I always play under bankrolled. (especially at sites with a casino) Its how i been doing it for 15 years now playing online poker. I think only a couple of times have I had to do a reload.
If i ever did go broke, i'd just send more money from Neteller(when it was used) Epassporte(when it was used) or, currently from Moneybookers(current funding service).

Lately(maybe the last 4 months or so) i been playing stictly OMaha high/low. Foldem just became to boring.
I personally think i know the game(omaha high/low) very very well and i should be winning, but, for four months now, i been just breaking even at best(actually down a bit but up due to sign up bonuses and %33 rakeback deal) I personally think my luck is not very good and my skill level is equal too or greater then most playing.
Maybe, just maybe, i could learn more in this game and become a winning player(even with terrible luck). If i am making mistakes, i am unaware of them.
So, i cashed in some of my gold chips and bought the book HOW TO WIN AT OMAHA HIGH-LOW POKER, by Mike Cappelletti. It just came in the mail today. I was just wondering if anyone has read it and would like to comment on the author and his theorys. Thanks

And can someone explain to me why the player iamablack guy on cake poker wins every single day at cake poker playing omaha high low? This guy never loses and never gets sucked out on.
Every wrap around low straight draws,he hits, and always gets paid off. I know he is good but man o man, why cant he miss 100 draws in a row like me, at least occasionaly, i seem to do it every day.

Everyday i expeirence 20 bad bets in a 2 hour span and i only play a max of 4 tables. Just a few examples of what happened today and yesterday.
As far as i can tell, i played this right. I was going to check raise him on the flop feeling he would have done a c-bet, but the bastard checked. By the way, i am sainer. I used to be yuck fou but they made me change my name lol

You only have 65% equity in this hand. If you can't handle losing a hand like this you shouldn't be playing poker.

To me it seems the Cake network is like that; I have played at Cake Poker and Power Poker (during summer) and in both cases the start was extra hot but then after some 5k of hands one might not score anymore, though not sure of how long it will last, and there is nothing unusual about that pattern, it's pretty common at many sites, but nothing of that will prove anything as one is sure to run into bad periods at some point and it's much less likely to happen in the beginning.
Some players there might be hotter and if it's done on purpose of keeping the new player or not letting someone to beat others for too much for too long periods, then there would not be as many long run winners as one would expect (whatever that would be). I don't think the results of that network are being tracked yet, and some long run winners will sure be there as it would be too obvious otherwise.
What I do in these situations is that I play some 10k of hands when I see the problems coming and suspect it's not random, and then see, and if it's still bad I drop the times I play there and so I still keep winning overall.
If that network really gives better runs to new players, one could abuse that by playing at many skins, with or without rakeback, though the other account must be at least closed first, and it makes more sense to play as high as possible then, and so maybe leave it to a later time if one is still moving up. One way to check things is to play a part of the time on one skin where one is not running good, and the other time on a more "fresh" skin and compare.

When does these super fucking bad beats when all the chips are in the pot end?
There is no fucking way someone can get beat like i do. IM tired of people laughing at me on their suckouts and my bad luck.
My luck is so fucking bad on this fucking site that i changed my name to whywhywhy, and of course every fucking time someone rivers me(which is always) they laugh, and say, why!
I have chip lead in heads up tourney. I got 2675 in chips, he has 325. As usual, i cant fucking beat a guy when all the chips go all in and he is all-in. NEVER

Now i know this happens to all of us many times but, i wouldnt be bitching and whining and showing this example if it didnt happen all the fucking time to me.
If i looked at all the heads up tourneys ive played in the last year on this site, i am sure that id find over 500 tourneys where i was leading by at least a 4-1 chip count at some time in the tourney.
Out of those 500 tourenys, i am lucky to have won %40 of them and lost %60 of them, even with a 4-1 chip count.
Coinicidence or not, i cant fucking beat a guy who is all in .

This is the only time i have ever bitched or posted a bad beat on a forumn (and the last)
Last Night
1-2 NL i had 9-9 raised preflop to $9 my opponent called
FLOP 9-3-2 I bet out $15 opponent called with A-2 off
Turn 2 i bet $30 he raised all in $240

Cost me $300
He hit Perfect Perfect
Thats the way it goes i was upset for about 4 seconds

Correct not perfect perfect ( actually i laughed when he hit running dueces)....3-5 beating k-9 is no big deal.....happens to all of us the same amount of times nobody is unluckier long term than anyone else..pointless to give it any thought or dont play its not worth it espicially for a few hundred bucks........I still booked a winner that night and got alot back from that idiot who somehow couldnt release a-2.

My worst was 30/60 FL JJ vs Q5 flop J33 turn 3 river 3.
And the bad part was he decided this was the hand to make a play at me. Raised preflop, I got 3 bets in on the flop and 2 more on the turn.

when i played 10/20 nl. 4 years ago almost i think.
I had 33.
Flop came 337 turn 6.
I got it allin versus two other players and the final pot was $9000
They had 77 and 66.
The river was a another 6. That one hurt, only a two outer but still the pot where pretty huge but that was actually the turning point from a long downstreak.

Instead of opening new thread, thought id add this here. Call me a whiner a bitcher, i dont care.
7 pm est, im playing omaha high low, im dealt ace -3 of clubs and 5-king of diamonds. Flop comes 2c-4c-7d.( I bet half pot and get two callers) I have nut low with wrap around straight draw and nut flush draw. Plus, i cant be counterfieted on the low draw.
Turn comes 6 of spades. I now have the second nut straight, the nut low(that cant be counterfieted) and nut flush draw to boot. I knew the guy on the button would bet so i checked. He bet half the pot and i checked raised him the pot. Then the site freezes up. 5 minutes later, the site is running again and the hand was null and voided. fun fun fun playing on this site

Is all this play at Cake? I've only skimmed over this thread, but if you're having bad luck at a site, don't you think you should play elsewhere? If not because the site is rigged / out to get you, because in the back of your mind you think that it might be, and that could be effecting your play.

I do have negativety with this site. Add in the fact i cant seem to get a game going now at omaha hii low, it might be time to go elsewhere.

Can't play your best or often even play well if you have negative feelings towards it. Just move on and come back in a while after you've won somewhere else.
