I just played in the $50+5 $10K on cake.

The blinds were going up real fast and hardly anyone could stay ahead of the ten times the blind rule.(not be considered shortstacked)

The blinds were now $400-$800 with 100 antes and i was now the big blind, with just over $5k in chips(im considered shortstacked) and im sitting about 8 spots from in the money.

I get dealt ten jack and its a 3 timies the pot raised. I folded with the intent i still got some fighting chips and my button coming up. Then i got rags in the small blind and folded there also, leaving me with around 3600 in chips. Then the fucking software moves me to another table( i didnt even get my button) and of course i get moved to a new table and its again my big blind. wtf????

I get dealt 8-9 of diamonds. A guy in mid position min raises and everyone folds to me. I can fold and still have 2700, but, my small blind is up next. I dont have enough in chips to push anyone off a hand, so, i decide to make the call. I now have just about 1800 left in chips. If i miss the flop and he bets, i can now fold.

Flop comes 2-4-5 . I checked and he surprisingly checked behind. The turn is a 8 and i go all in for my last 1800 in chips, he calls showing jack queen. Of course a queen hits on the river.

If i had known in advance that id be a blind 4 hands in a row, then i would have played my first big blind differently. I played that big blind with the intentions i still had some stealing chips left and my button still to come but, that all changed when i got moved to a new table and blinded again for the 4 blinds in a row.

This isnt a whine that i got rivered, but its more of a whine as to why i would have had to post 4 blinds in a row. Obviously not fair for me.

Does anyone know if there is a rule on how they move or how they decide to move a player in a tourney, to a new table?

Cake apparently doesn't do it, but good sites take the player closest in position to the one eliminated at the other table. So for example if UTG got eliminated they would move UTG +1 from the other table.

Yeah when i have played Cake and Betfair it has happened to me plenty.

Especially in turbo tourneys, you post blinds and then get moved and have to post them again.

Game over. They should really do something about that.

their response

When the tournament is very close to finishing, this situation can happen. Why – because there are less and less amount of the tables in the tournament as players are out of the game. It means that there are less and less amount of the seats which can be choose randomly. This situation is rare, but it is not exclusion.

FYI - This topic has been reviewed by top management at Cake. I can't reveal the details but thought you'd want to know the big boys are aware of the situation.

So i am guessing there is a more fair way to move a player then?

i look at it as bein a lottery
sometimes ya get moved into good position
sometimes ya get moved to the blinds
& u just gotta live w it

some sites wont move u directly into the blind(s)
& the button will pass .... rather than...

Fair way to do it is to always move UTG player.
