Hello Everyone,

I thought it would be interesting to start a thread on our actual jobs away from poker. I guess i'll start off.

I am a financial services planner. I work for World Financial Group which is backed by AEGON($300 bil in assets). What we do is educate people on a 1 on 1 basis about financial planning such as life insurance, mortgages, savings/investments.

I joined this company about 2 months ago with my fiancee and it has been a total life changing experience. Not just because of what you learn but the ability to change peoples lives and at the same time build your own organization.

Unlike many traditional financial services firms, we are actually revolutionizing this industry based on our system. Anyone of any age, sex, ethnicity, education can learn this business and not only help people but also gain financial independence.

If any of you are looking for that WAY OUT, or lookin to change your lives financially, feel free to contact me and I'll provide additional info.

Would like to here what the rest of you do so feel free to post.

Cheers, Chip

Well i have the real lazy job i'm a directional driller. I spend 90% of my time sitting on my ass watching tv or on my computer. Its a great job the view always changes and they let me play with explosive shit sometimes.

Sounds like a great job. I like the name too - kinda fits with the job, right?

Lets see. Started out working for a customs broker - 5 years & got a license but although I messed with the idea I never started my own business. After that - 15 years with an international chemical company doing various white collar jobs. At one point to prepare for a strike I had to learn to drive a train & of course had to get a license to do that too.

Started life over when I was pushing 40 and went into the casino industry working up from dealer in '92 to shift manager in '99 where I stayed until I was unceremoniously retired near the end of '05.

Now, along with poker I hope to someday live in a cave & operate my own bait & donut shop. Wish me luck.

I'm a full time student. Will be graduating in Dec with a BA in history and music. Then will be heading to grad school to get my PhD in History, so no day job for me. :D (though it is more work, I think)
